The basic habits that get you past being a beginner and the advanced tactics that win matches — all on one page.

bombic.io is a fast game, but it rewards positioning and patience more than reflexes. Get the principles below into your hands and you will die less and collect more. The basics

• Drop and run. The moment you place a bomb your escape direction should already be decided. Know where you are going before you press Space; the blast burns you too.
• Don't get cornered. Try to stay in the open. Against a wall or in a narrow corridor a single bomb traps you; always leave yourself two ways out.
• Know your range. Blasts travel in straight lines, and as your own range grows so does your safe distance. Learn to feel how many tiles ahead a bomb will reach before you drop it.
• Respect the cooldown. Don't attack before your bombs have reloaded. The Shift dash is on a cooldown too — save it for the escape, don't burn it for nothing.

Advanced tactics

• Squeeze them. Put your opponent between a wall and your bomb and leave them nowhere to go. Closing a corner with two bombs is a guaranteed hit.
• Be the collector. In Round and Deathmatch the power-ups (bomb count, range, speed, kick, dash) make you dominant quickly; be the first to whatever appears on the map.
• Combine kick and dash. If you have kick, shove a live bomb toward your opponent and then leave the blast line with Shift.

Strategy by mode

Survivor

Collect gems first. The magnet pulls in the XP gems on the floor; level early and build something strong (Extra Bomb + Range is a good start). Hunt the low-level players — their XP spills when they die. Run from the big, stronger characters; don't take the risk unless you catch them in the open.

Chaos

The arena is huge and completely open, and bombs explode in a circle rather than a plus. That means danger spreads 360 degrees around you — don't sit in the middle of a crowd, work the edges. The gem field is dense, so keep moving while you collect and stay out of the areas where blast discs overlap.

Round

The goal is to be last alive. Play for durability rather than early aggression: blow barrels, collect power-ups and stay out of crowded fights. As the player count drops, raise the pressure and corner what is left in the shrinking space.

Deathmatch

Here death is temporary and score is permanent. Because respawns are endless, chase hits constantly instead of playing safe. Target players who just respawned or are on cooldown, and patrol around the power-up spots.
