A modern .io arena game inspired by the classic bomb games. No install, no download, no account: type a nickname, pick a mode, play.

In bombic.io you drop into an arena, blow up blocks and barrels with your bombs, collect power-ups, level up on XP gems and try to be the last one standing. Matches run a few minutes, so the game fits a short break just as well as a long competitive session. It runs with keyboard and mouse on desktop browsers and with touch controls on phones and tablets, with dozens of players on the same server at once.

How to play

Desktop controls

Move with W A S D or the arrow keys — you can also steer with the mouse.
Space drops a bomb. Blasts spread in a cross and hit everything in range — including you.
Shift is a short dash; it is the fastest way out of a blast radius.

Touch controls

Drag anywhere in the left half of the screen to steer — an invisible analog stick: push it a little and you walk, push it fully and you sprint.
The big button bottom-right drops a bomb, the small one next to it dashes.

Game modes

Survivor — Collect XP gems in an open arena, level up and pick one of three upgrade cards every level. You always respawn.

Chaos — The wild variant of Survivor: no walls, a huge arena, circular blasts and a downpour of gems.

Round — The classic round mode: all your power comes from the floor, and the last player alive wins.

Deathmatch — Endless free-for-all: you respawn instantly, and the most kills wins.

Event modes such as Team Chaos, Dominion, Zombie and Sudden Death open up in the menu from time to time.

Level up and get stronger

In Survivor and Chaos, progress runs on XP gems: you pick up the bright gems scattered around the arena (the magnet pulls them in from a distance) and level up once you have collected enough. Every level offers three upgrade cards — Extra Bomb, Blast Range, Speed, Fast Reload, Health, Magnet, Regeneration, Kick, Dash, Short Fuse or Lifesteal. Your picks stack through the match and shape the character around your own style: some players pile on range and lock down the arena from afar, others take speed and dash and live inside the crowd. When you kill an opponent, part of the XP they had collected spills onto the floor as gems — which is why hunting the strong players is the biggest payoff in the game.

With friends, or on your own

Invite a friend in the menu generates a link; everyone who opens it lands in the same arena as you — no account needed to make a party. With no connection, or when you just want to warm up, flip the offline switch and play Survivor and Chaos against bots; everything runs on your own device.

Looks, leaderboard and chat

You can pick cosmetic skins for your character and themes for the arena; none of them change the balance of the game, they are purely visual. Your score at the end of a match goes onto the global leaderboard next to your flag. In-game chat is moderated: you can report a message that bothers you, or mute whoever sent it.
